More choice for private villa holidays in Rhodes and Croatia

Vintage Travel – specialising, exclusively, in hand-picked houses with private pools in areas of local tradition and culture – has introduced the Greek island of Rhodes into its 2010 programme as well as significantly expanding its portfolio in Gozo and Croatia.

On Rhodes, the company features a choice of eight properties – sleeping between four and eight people – which all boast fantastic sea views and Demetrius, for example, is a two bedroom (both with aircon and balcony), two bathroom house sleeping four set on a hillside near the village of Kalathos looking out over Vliha Bay and the Aegean.

In addition to the private pool, it has a sun terrace, stone built barbecue, shady pergola and dining area and garden with lawn and a week’s rental leads in at £295 at the end of March/beginning of April.

For 2010, the number of properties offered on the island of Gozo has increased by more than 50% - taking the number to 11 – and the addition of Hamlet II features a first for Vintage Travel – a fabulous combined indoor and outdoor freeform pool complete with two Jacuzzis.

Situated near the village of Ghasri, this superbly furnished four bedroom, four bathroom air conditioned, townhouse sleeps eight and also has sun terraces and a large roof terrace with 360° views of the island. A week’s rental leads in at £1650 at the end of March.

Also new to the programme for next year is the Kulube Hotel in Turkey which enjoys a superb location at the tip of the Kalkan peninsula and which has direct access – through pine filled gardens – to its own bay on the Med.

Hotel facilities include three pools (two seawater, one freshwater), gymnasium, spa/Wellness Centre with hamam, sauna and beauty salon and mature terraced gardens as well as a shuttle bus service into Kalkan old town. A seven-night stay with breakfast costs from £150 per person, based on two sharing a deluxe room in May.

Prices do not include return UK flights and car hire, but these can be arranged independently or by the company on request.
