VX Racing celebrated two race wins at Snetterton race circuit in Norfolk, the first double victory of the season so far for the team. The sixth round of the ten event 2009 HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship produced three excellent races, with reigning champion, Fabrizio Giovanardi taking top honours in the first two races and a third place podium in the final race of the day. Matt Neal endured a tough weekend, with a best finish of fourth position, as well as a ninth and fourteenth place. Oulton Park proved to be one of the biggest challenges of the season so far for VX Racing. The fourth round of the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship at the popular track brought each of the drivers a podium finish. However all three had to fight hard every lap of every race to produce these strong results. Fabrizio Giovanardi notched up his 100th BTCC race at the Cheshire circuit, competing in his fourth season of the championship. Andrew Jordan was delighted to take his third podium finish of the season so far. Matt Neal, with a third, a fourth and a seventh place retains his Drivers’ Championship lead, but only by two points. VX Racing continued to accumulate points to retain the lead in both the Teams’ Championship and the Manufacturer/Constructor title chase.

VX Racing claimed a podium sweep in the first race of the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship event at Thruxton circuit today. Fabrizio Giovanardi led his team mates home with Matt Neal in second place and Andrew Jordan behind in third position. It is nearly five years to the day since VX Racing celebrated a 1-2-3, with the Vauxhall Astra Coupé piloted by Luke Hines taking victory on 26 April 2004. VX Racing team mates James Thompson and Yvan Muller followed him home at the Brands Hatch round of the championship.
