More Ferrari 458 Italia photos revealed
In the run-up to the official unveiling of the Ferrari 458 Italia at the Frankfurt Motor Show on the 15th of September, enthusiasts can find out more about the car on ferrari.com. There they will find the first photographs of the 458 Italia’s interior and of the steering wheel and instrument binnacle which represent a significant step forward in the concept of the ergonomic interface between driver and car.

Ferrari Store opens at Nurburgring circuit
The first Ferrari Store in Germany was officially inaugurated today at a very special location: the Nurburgring, which nestles in the gentle Eifel hills and provides the fascinating venue for the German Grand Prix. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was performed by Ferrari drivers Felipe Massa and Kimi Räikkönen, who had already been out on the track in the run-up to Sunday’s Grand Prix. This is also the first Ferrari Store to open at a circuit and comes as part of an ambitious expansion plan to turn the Nurburgring complex into an all-year round leisure and business centre. With this in mind, major new structures are being added, including the shopping centre housing the Ferrari Store, an events centre, a conference centre and hotels.
Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M completes hillclimb in 59 seconds
Ferrari showcased three of its latest supercars in the Sunday Times Supercar Runs at the Goodwood Festival of Speed: the innovative Ferrari California, the remarkable 599 GTB Fiorano with HGTE package, and the limited edition Scuderia Spider 16M. To the appreciation of packed crowds which lined the hillclimb under gorgeous blue skies throughout the weekend, Ferrari fans were thrilled by the distinctive growl and bark of the V8 and V12 engines that make the Prancing Horse cars such a fan’s favourite at this event.

Florence Ferrari stores officially opened
The newest Ferrari Store on the Italian market was officially opened today at the chic Via degli Strozzi 4R. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was performed by Scuderia Ferrari driver Felipe Massa, and followed by a cocktail party for Ferrari clients and a select group of guests. Two exceptional cars were on display at the new Store: a Ferrari 275 GTB – the 1964 berlinetta bodied by Pininfarina, of which 450 were built – and an Enzo Ferrari – a 2002 extreme road car encompassing all of the Prancing Horse’s most advanced F1-derived technologies, of which just 399 were built.

Ferrari contributes to rebuilding the Abruzzo region
Ferrari has announced that it will offering a very special car at the RM Auction due to be held this coming Sunday. The car, the very last F430 to leave the production line towards the end of this year, will be auctioned to raise funds for rebuilding in Abruzzo, central Italy, which was devastated by the earthquake on the 6th of April. Ferrari will liaise with the local authorities to ensure that the funds will go towards the most needy.
1000th Ferrari in Hong Kong
A special ceremony to mark the 1,000th Ferrari delivered in Hong Kong took place in Victoria Harbour yesterday. Over 65 international media from Hong Kong, Macau and the adjacent markets participated in this significant milestone for Ferrari in the Asia-Pacific region. From the first Ferrari delivered to a Hong Kong customer in the early 1960’s, now, some 45 years later, this 1,000th car is a new 612 Scaglietti ‘One-To-One’, the flagship of the current Ferrari range which was specially commissioned by the owner last year.

Official grand opening of first UK Ferrari store
Ferrari Formula One driver Kimi Räikkönen today officially opened the UK’s first Ferrari Store at 193-197 Regent Street in the very heart of London. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was hosted by Räikkönen and Dany Bahar, Ferrari Senior Vice President, Direzione Commerciale & Brand. The Ferrari driver then performed the now-traditional signing of the store counter after which there was a special reception for a select group of guests and Ferrari Owners. The day also featured a spectacular display of both new and classic Ferraris which, having first called to the Store, parked on Conduit Street for all to admire.

The Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este celebrated its 80th anniversary this year, once again attracting 50 stunning cars built between the 1920s and 1970s to the grounds of the eponymous Lake Como villa. All of the cars shown were of enormous historical value and either in pristine condition or restored.

Ferrari is celebrating a good result even as it prepares to redeem itself on the track at the upcoming Bahrain Grand Prix. According to the Fiat Group’s first quarter 2009 results, released to the board of directors and the financial community yesterday, Ferrari was the most profitable of all of its companies in the first three months of the year.
