The humble vol-au-vent gets an overhaul

The credit crunch might be throwing us all back to the 1970’s but some things can be improved on - the humble vol-au-vent just got an overhaul – wave goodbye to egg mayo and coronation chicken and say hello to the Jus Rol Sweet Bite.

Create a sweet treat fir summer in just three easy steps:

STRAWBERRY & CREAM BITE

You will need:
1 Pack of Jus-Rol Medium Pastry Cases
Double Cream
Punnet of Strawberries
Sugar to sweeten

3 Easy Steps:

1. Bake the Pastry Cases for 12 minutes & allow to cool.
2. Meanwhile whip the double cream to form soft peaks and sweeten to taste with sugar.
3. Fill the pastry cases with half a strawberry, a dollop of cream and top with strawberry slices.
