A fusion of fashion and food
9 January 2009
London’s Ambassade de l’Ile restaurant has joined forces with exclusive members’ fashion boutique Rous Iland to host “Sense Sessions” - a veritable ‘banquet for the senses’ - on 3 March. The event will fuse fashion, music and cocktails with taster portions of creations from two Michelin-starred chef, Jean-Christophe Ansanay-Alex.
The feast will be divided into two distinct ‘Sense Sessions’. Starting at 6.30pm, Part 1 will include a selection of amuse-bouches to showcase the new March tasting menu, offset by appropriate cocktails. Pleasing the eyes and ears, a catwalk styled by Clare Rous & Kara Iland of Rous Iland will showcase the key fashion trends for the season and latest pieces from trailblazing designers including: Mattijs van Bergen, Louise Amstrup, Alice McCall, Ja.su.ma, Rachel Gilbert, White Suede, Karen Walker, Beatrix Ong, Gina Foster, Carmen Romero and Noir.
From 9pm, Part 2 provides the desserts, plus fine cheeses and more drinks, as the latest offerings from menswear designer Monsieur Baron are modelled on the runway. The night will finish with a finale of surprise appearances on the catwalk and luxurious prizes.
Tickets for the whole evening are £90 and for the second part only are priced at £60. For further information and to purchase tickets, log on to Rousiland.com.
