Edinburgh ladies set to sparkle this Christmas

2 November 2009
Two prominent Edinburgh city centre businesses The Rutland and Frasers will hold a glittering fashion show, auction and raffle on Wednesday 18 November to raise money for this year’s BBC Children in Need event.

For a ticket price of only £25 – which includes a three course meal, redeemable £10 discount Frasers voucher, and goody bag – guests will enjoy a ‘Christmas party wear’ themed fashion show and auction with lots including a £650 Armani handbag and a luxury weekend break.

You can even bid for a ‘Chef for the evening’, with the successful bidder being awarded The Rutland Hotel head chef David Haetzman, who will cook in the bidder’s own home for a party of ten people.

A Champagne raffle includes prizes such as a two-night stay at The Chester Residence, a professional golf lesson at Prestonfield Golf Club, and a personal trainer session.

Nic Wood, who co-owns The Rutland jointly with his brother Garreth, said: “The Rutland and Fraser’s have a great working relationship so it made sense that we organise a joint event to raise as much money as possible for Children in Need. It will be an amazing evening and we look forward to welcoming customers old and new.”

Ian Elder, Fraser’s General Manager, adds: “We wanted to organise a glamorous event for Children in Need and the combined fashion show, three-course meal, auction, and Champagne raffle will ensure that guests have a fabulous evening while doing their bit for a deserving charity.”

The event takes place at The Rutland, Rutland Street, from 6.30pm – 10pm on Wednesday 18 November. For further information or to buy tickets email claireyetton@signaturepubs.com.
