MoneyExpert: Barclaycard OnePulse balance transfer rates

Sean Gardner, MoneyExpert.com, said: "Barclaycard has marked out a new battleground for competition in the credit card market, choosing to lower their balance transfer fee to 2.5% rather than simply trumping the length of 0% deal available.

"In recent years it's simply been a case of who can offer that longest 0% deal, with Virgin Money heading the table for some time. No doubt Barclaycard's offer will stir things up and it'll be interesting to see who follows suit.

"From a card user's perspective the OnePulse offer looks good, maintaining a competitive 14 month 0% deal. With the lower fee it's certainly one that those looking to transfer a hefty balance should consider."
