Halifax continues market leading student account

Halifax has announced its 2009/2010 student account offering. Students will continue to benefit from an industry leading interest free overdraft of up to £3,000.

The Halifax Student Current Account is available to new and existing customers and offers:

An interest free overdraft of up to £3,000 for up to five years - plus an extra year after graduation

A Visa Debit Card

Commission-free currency and traveller's cheques

A 25% discount on AA breakdown cover

A 20% discount on Halifax Card Care card protection insurance, which covers all a customer's registered debit, credit, store and charge cards at home or abroad

Free 24hr telephone and online banking, plus the option of receiving statements online
